Ekal Vidyalaya is a people’s movement, a non-profit organization, on a mission to bring basic education to every child across rural India. Join us, to partake in the Ekal movement.

Objectives and Achievements of this largest grassroot level non- governmental education & development movement are:

• Run one-teacher schools (known as Ekal Vidyalayas) in the remotest rural & tribal villages all over India – 102,030 Schools.
• Holistic approach of social and economic development to Tribal & Rural India – 2,781,271 Students.
• Eradicate illiteracy from rural and tribal India based on the criteria of equality & inclusiveness across all the sections of the society. 1,390,422 Girls and 1,390,849 Boys.

Apart from its goal of achieving the national standards of Minimum Level of Learning, Ekal Vidyalaya seeks to empower the village community for its own self-development through five verticals of Functional Education, Healthcare Education, Development Education, Empowerment Education and Ethics &Value Education.
